I liked the SLAP ammo (sabot, light armour piercing), awesome stuff designed to take out helicopters and light apc's! Mind you, the armour piercing incendiary was good stuff. We set fire to part of Salisbury plain once using it!
Know what you mean about ammo quality though. I used both L42 and L96 and we were supplied with "green spot" ammo, the best of the best. I once fired an 11mm group at 100m with iron sights using it!
I'd better stop now, I've got firearms withdrawal symptoms!

Brand new one this, it even simulates shoulder mounted AT weapons with a big knockback, simulated barrages, air support, enemy armour, infantry that react to hit depeneing on the location.
Cutting edge stuff.
Firing the 5.56 kit was *exactly* like firing on a live range except for being odourless

today i bit my tongue really badly eating a bag of marshmallows............... 
oh and fired a load of guns and other manly stuff..........
Ooooh marshmellows, hmmm last weekend of binge eating before I cut back on the old Kcal 
might have to push the boat out with 9 bars of choc (thats what it takes) in the fountain and some mallowie goodness 
light a fire in the bbq and toast the marshmallows helga........indulgent heaven.
Its effing horrible out there, I'd much rather stay in the warm if its going to sile it down this weekend and dunk them in 9 bars worth of choc
